Police Seek the Public's Help in Identifying Business Burglary Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with the burglary of a business on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
 
At approximately 4:47 a.m., the suspect climbed through the window of a business in the 500 block of 18th Avenue. The suspect then entered the building and stole $12,000.00 in cash, an HP laptop, a Snap-On scanner, and bolt cutters. Two vehicles were also stolen from the business parking lot, a gray 2006 Buick Lucerne and a gray 2007 Nissan Altima.
 
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect, described as a Black male wearing a red and white trucker cap with a face emoji, a black Nike ski mask, a white thermal long-sleeve shirt, black Adidas pants, and black sneakers.
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information on the identity of this suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
