Felon Charged with Gun Possession 
Detective Jesse Hicks with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact team charged 33-year-old Danny Joseph Jimison of Marion with Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon. A Magistrate issued Jimison a $15,000 secured bond.
On October 13th, Detective Hick’s stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Veterans Drive and Tiptop Drive for numerous traffic violations. Jimison was a passenger in the car and was found to be in possession of a handgun. Jimison is a convicted felon and prohibited by NC law from possessing a firearm.
