Incident: Suspect Sought in Bank Robbery

Incident Summary-
On 12/8/2022, at approximately 1:10 p.m., the Petaluma Police Department received notification of an alarm activation at Exchange Bank in the Deer Creek Village shopping center. Officers arrived on scene and contacted employees who confirmed the bank had been robbed. Just before the alarm, an unknown male entered the bank and approached a teller. He provided the teller with a demand note for money. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank. Bank employees did not observe any weapons on the suspect. He was observed walking southbound through the shopping center. He was then observed walking southbound on Lynch Creek Way towards the Lynch Creek Trail. A search was conducted but the suspect was not located.
The suspect was described as a white male in his late teens to mid-20s, approximately 5’4” to 5’7” tall with a medium build. He was wearing a light grey hoodie, dark face mask, dark pants, and dark shoes.
