Sheriff's Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male Hispanic adult in the city of Maywood.
East Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of E. 58th Street and Atlantic Boulevard, Maywood, regarding a traffic collision involving a pedestrian. Upon their arrival, they found the victim suffering from injuries to the upper torso.
LA County Fire Department paramedics responded and treated the victim at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators determined a road rage incident occurred, prior to the victim being struck by the suspect vehicle.
The suspect is in custody.
