Mayor Baraka, Public Safety Director Fragé, Chief of Police Miranda Host Promotional Ceremony 
Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé, and Chief of Police Emanuel Miranda hosted a promotional ceremony for 17 new Police Sergeants today at Greater Abyssinian Baptist Church, 88 Lyons Avenue, in Newark.
The new promotees include three females and 14 males. The diverse group of sergeants includes 11 Hispanics, five African Americans, and one Caucasian. The new sergeants are:

Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens attended the ceremony along with members of the New Jersey State Police, and Newark City Council Members Louise Scott-Rountree, C. Lawrence Crump, Patrick O. Council, and Michael J. Silva.
