CANCEL: TRAFFIC ALERT - Velp Avenue - Fully Open for Travel
UPDATE:
Traffic flow is back to normal in the 1300 block of Velp Avenue and drivers are now able to utilize both lanes of travel in each direction.
This follows a late morning traffic accident that caused a full closure on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, due to a knocked down a power pole causing wires to cross the roadway.
We appreciated the patience of drivers that had to detour during the closure.

TRAFFIC ALERT UPDATE: Velp Avenue - One Lane of Traffic Open in Each Direction
Drivers are able to travel through one lane in each direction in the area of the 1300 block of Velp Avenue following a late morning traffic accident that caused a full closure on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
WPS remains on scene at this time as the incident had initially knocked down a power pole causing wires to cross the roadway.
Police expect this immediate area to be fully open by 5:00 p.m.
Further updates will be provided once travel returns to normal.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Accident on Velp Avenue - Avoid the Area
Green Bay Police are asking that drivers avoid the area of the 1300 block of Velp Avenue due to a traffic accident on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
Drivers should use alternate routes until approximately 2:45 p.m. or further notice as the incident has knocked down a power pole causing wires to cross the roadway.
Police have placed barricades and WPS is on scene assisting.
No further information will be released at this time.
