UPDATE:
As of 8:00 p.m. the suspect is in custody. The shelter in place orders have been lifted for the immediate area and streets are expected to reopen shortly.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
The Green Bay Police Department is asking the public to avoid the area of the 700 block of South Ridge Road on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, due to an incident requiring a large police presence.
Police are attempting to communicate with an individual inside of a home. The incident is believed to be confined to one specific residence.
There is a closure of South Ridge Road from West Mason Street to Hickory Hill Drive as well as Shirley Street between South Ridge Road and Neufeld Street.
We are working closely with the Green Bay Area Public School District to take necessary action at Franklin Middle School and have also notified staff at Notre Dame Academy.
No additional details will be released, at this time.
