The Firehouse 5K Run/Walk is being hosted by the Santa Clara Firefighters Foundation on Saturday, December 17. The event supports the Santa Clara Schools Foundation (SCSF). Approximately 750 participants are anticipated. Event information is available online at www.thefirehouserun.com
- The start and finish will take place at Santa Clara University, Stevens Stadium (Buck Shaw Field)
- On-campus parking is available; no fee or permit is required in the North Parking Structure, 1063 Alviso Street at Benton Street. Meanwhile, free ADA (only) parking is available in the Main Parking Garage located on Palm Drive
- The race will begin at 8:30am. Temporary road closures are expected on the following streets between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.:
El Camino Real
The Alameda
Market Street
Jefferson Street
Harrison Street
Fremont Street
Sherman Street
Palm Drive
- Runners with strollers will be permitted on the race course
- Sorry, pets are not allowed to accompany runners on the race course
- Everyone is encouraged to read the message boards and follow the instructions of law enforcement personnel
- Be observant and monitor your environment. If you notice suspicious objects or observe suspicious behavior, report this information to law enforcement immediately
