Wind Advisory Issued
Please be advised that rain and wind gusts of up to 43 MPH are predicted tonight and tomorrow.
The Office of Emergency Management encourages residents to secure loose objects outside or bring them inside, especially off balconies. Outdoor tents should be taken down depending on wind load.
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines, resulting in power outages.
Please report power outages and downed wires to PSEG at https://nj.myaccount.pseg.com/myservicepublic/outagepublic.
Recycling collection in the Limited Business Area will occur as scheduled. Businesses are reminded to secure their cardboard. Cardboard must be flatted and bundled in a cardboard box, tied with string, or put in a blue covered bin and placed at the curb after 9 pm.
For the full waste collection schedule, go to https://www.hobokennj.gov/resources/waste-collection.
The Office of Emergency Management reminds residents to avoid flood-prone areas as any intense rainfall of greater than 0.8 inch per hour could result in flooding in low-lying areas.
Residents should monitor local forecasts for additional advisories, watches, and warnings. Residents are also encouraged to monitor the City’s Twitter (twitter.com/cityofhoboken) and Facebook (facebook.com/hoboken) or sign up to receive email or text updates by visiting www.hobokennj.gov/alerts.
