Newark Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Collision
Newark, California (Thursday, December 15, 2022)
On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at approximately 9:20 am, Newark Police Officers and members of the Alameda County Fire Department responded to a collision involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival, emergency personnel located a motorcyclist in the roadway and immediately rendered aid. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, a 28-year-old male residing in Fremont, succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary information indicates the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Cedar Blvd. when it struck a vehicle making a left turn from Dupont Ave. onto southbound Cedar Blvd. The other party remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. This collision is currently under investigation by the Newark Police Department Traffic Unit.
