Full Notification

On 12-17-22 at 0206 hours BPD received a call of a fight that included the suspect firing a firearm on the 2400 block of Telegraph Ave.  A group got into a verbal argument with the suspect that ended up with the suspect punching a female in the throat. As the victims were walking away the suspect fired one round into the air and the victims fled.
 
As officers were interviewing the victims another officer spotted the suspect trying to blend in with a crowd of people on Durant Ave.  When the officer went to detain the suspect the suspect fled from officers on foot.  BPD officers gave chase, running east on Durant Ave, south on Bowditch and captured the suspect near Channing and Bowditch.  The suspect was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a loaded pistol and narcotics packaged for sales.
