Winter Weather and cold temperatures.
Be prepared. As it stands currently, we are expecting temperatures to drop during the day on Thursday, December 22 with an expected low Thursday night of -6f to -9f. There is a 60% chance of snow Wednesday night and a 90% chance of snow on Thursday tapering off Thursday night. Total snow accumulation is unknow at this time. The winds are going to be strong 25mph-35mph with wind chills of -30f to -40f. Friday will continue cold with blustery winds and blowing snow. It is too far out to predict total snow accumulation. I will send out more information as the NWS updates their predictions.
The bottom line is it is going to be extremly cold with high winds and very low wind chills. Be prepared to stay in. Travel over this period is expected to be treacherous Wednesday night through Friday. Please plan accordingly. Stay tuned to local media for weather updates. We will update as more information is issued from the NWS.
