Green Bay Police Department to Participate in Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Holiday Campaign

The Green Bay Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies nationwide including Brown County and across Wisconsin for the annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over holiday enforcement campaign, which runs through New Year’s Day.

Through January 1, 2023, the Green Bay Police Department will be partnering in five OWI Taskforce deployments as well as one Click It or Ticket deployment.

During the holiday campaign effort last year from December 14, 2021 to January 1, 2022, the Green Bay Police Department made 20 OWI arrests.

“We’re here to keep our roadways safe for everyone. Please plan ahead before you go out and celebrate this holiday season. Have a designated driver, call a taxi or use a ride-sharing service,” said Lieutenant Tom Buchmann, Green Bay Police Department.

Those who need help finding a safe ride home either for themselves or someone else, can download the free Drive Sober mobile app from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation website at https://zeroinwisconsin.gov/programs/impaired-driving/.
