Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on gun and drug charges.

On December 13 at approximately 12:02 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit were in the 700 block of East 11^th Street, when they observed 19-year-old Raiys Muhammed.  Officers were aware that Muhammed had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and took him into custody without incident.  Following a brief investigation, police recovered two 9mm handguns, one that was reported stolen, additional ammunition, and 39.03 grams of marijuana. 

Muhammed was charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrants:

• Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited – 2 counts
• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – 2 counts
• Receiving a Stolen Firearm
• Possession of Marijuana
