INCIDENT: PC 29800 (A)(1) - Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 33215 - Possession of a Short Barrel Rifle, PC 30305 (A)(1) - Possession of an Extended Magazine, PC 475(B) - Possession of a Stolen Check
LOCATION: 16610 Flint Hollow Place, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): William Ruiz, 29-year-old male resident of Chino Hills
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, deputies assigned to the Multiple Enforcement Team at the Chino Hills Sheriff's Station conducted a probation check on William Ruiz at his residence. Ruiz is on felony probation in Los Angeles County and failed to update his new address. Deputies learned Ruiz had an active felony warrant in San Bernardino County for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
During the search of Ruiz's residence, deputies located an AR-15 rifle, stolen check, and credit cards believed to be used for identity theft. Ruiz was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC 29800 (A)(1) - Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 33215 - Possession of a Short Barrel Rifle, PC 30305 (A)(1) - Possession of an Extended Magazine, and PC 475(B) - Possession of a Stolen Check.
