On Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at approximately 2236 hours, the Readington Township Police were dispatched to Old Highway 28 for a report of an intoxicated driver. Patrol responded to the area and observed Christina Volpone out of Bridgewater, NJ standing outside her vehicle with the reporting party. Volpone failed the officers field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Volpone was issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while intoxicated, possession of an open container in a motor vehicle, careless driving, possession of cds in a motor vehicle and a complaint summons for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
