Weather Advisory 12/22/2022
A winter storm moving across the country is expected to impact our area starting today through tomorrow. We encourage all residents to be prepared for possible electrical outages and extremely cold temperatures.
RAIN: Starting today (12/22/2022) rain will begin to impact our area through the night and into tomorrow (12/23/2022). Total rainfall over the two day storm is expected to be 1-2 inches.
WIND: Wind speed will start to increase throughout the day up to 30MPH. Wind gusts can reach up to 50MPH. Winds are expected to be this strong through Friday with the strongest winds Friday day and night.
TEMP: Temperatures are expected to be in the 40s today and will decrease over the next few days dropping into the teens. Low temperatures Friday night into Saturday morning plus the strong winds will bring wind chills into the negatives Friday night into Saturday and single digit temperatures Saturday night (Friday Night: -2 Degrees / Saturday Night: 6 Degrees)
HAZARDS:

• Wind and rain will cause hazards on the road, please be careful while driving
• After the rain on Friday, temperatures will cause ice and roadways and sidewalks may become slippery.
• Due to winds, rain, and possible ice, power lines may become damaged causing power outages. Make sure you have flashlights available and extra blankets to keep warm.
