Rain showers will begin today between 1-4 PM with steady rain into the evening, with repeat downpours overnight. The steady rain will give way to windy conditions with showers tomorrow morning ahead of the Arctic front.  Temperatures will then take a dive behind the front, with a brief period of snow and sleet possible as the front clears the area. The combination of lingering puddles and minor snow/sleet will set the stage for at least scattered areas of ice to develop across wet surfaces as temperatures fall below freezing. Dangerously cold temperatures will then take over during the evening and linger into the first half of the holiday weekend.

If you observe other emergencies, such as power lines down, trees in the roadway, please report these to the North Castle Police Department at (914) 273-9500 or in an emergency by calling 911.
