Possible Arson
The Janesville Police Department encourages businesses and customers to be vigilant and respond quickly to smoke alarms during this Holiday Season. If suspicious activity is observed notify an employee who can then notify the police.

Possible Arson 
On 12/21/22, just before 8 PM, Janesville Fire and Police Departments were dispatched to Michaels on Deerfield Drive for a commercial fire. Employees were able to extinguish the fire and all customers/employees evacuated the store. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Based on early indicators, the fire originated in the yarn aisle and may have been smoldering for several minutes prior to ignition.
