* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches, with locally up to 10 inches possible in higher terrain away from the Lake Huron shoreline. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE...Alcona, Ogemaw, Iosco, Gladwin and Arenac Counties.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 1 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible at times, particularly early Friday morning through Friday evening. Blowing and drifting snow can result in white-out conditions and snow- covered roads. North-south roads will be especially impacted by crosswinds and heavy drifting. The hazardous conditions will impact holiday commuters. Strong winds with snow-covered trees could bring down branches and cause power outages.
