Blizzard Warning until 06:00AM Saturday

* WHAT...For the Blizzard Warning, blizzard conditions expected. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. For the Wind Chill Warning, dangerously cold wind chills. Wind chills as low as 50 below zero.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Iowa and southwest Minnesota.

* WHEN...For the Blizzard Warning, until 6 AM CST Saturday. For the Wind Chill Warning, until noon CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Blowing snow will produce whiteout conditions in open areas. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The worst conditions will be from this evening through Friday afternoon. Travel has become treacherous. Any person that becomes stranded or trapped outdoors could encounter a life-threatening situation in a short amount of time.

* AFFECTED AREAS: OSCEOLA ... DICKINSON ... O'BRIEN ... CLAY ... CHEROKEE ... BUENA VISTA ... IDA ... COTTONWOOD ... NOBLES ... JACKSON
