* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues. Small streams will rise rapidly and could flood low water crossings.
* WHERE...Portions of Maine, including the following counties, Androscoggin, Cumberland, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Sagadahoc, Waldo and York. Portions of New Hampshire, including the following counties, Belknap, Carroll, Hillsborough, Merrimack, Rockingham and Strafford.
* WHEN...Until noon EST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1031 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated an area of very heavy rainfall fell or is falling across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Rapid snowmelt is also occurring and will add to the flooding. Even once the rain has ended small streams and creeks will continue to rise. - Snow-blocked drainage will exasperate flooding.
