A MESSAGE FROM JCP&L
Crews are working to restore an estimated 3,225 customers without service in Hunterdon County due to the high winds and weather we experienced today. A total of 51,000 JCP&L customers were impacted from this weather event causing downed power lines and damaged poles, with the hardest-hit areas located in our northern service area.
Ongoing high winds have caused delays in the restoration process as crews cannot safely work in bucket trucks when wind speeds are over 40 mph.
As crews continue working around the clock with the help of additional contractors, we will share restoration estimates as they are available on our map: http://spr.ly/NJOutageMap. You can also call us at 888-544-4877 or text STAT to 544487 for updates on your specific outage when available.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this process!
Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) continues to restore service to customers who lost power during the current severe weather event and has activated their retail water and ice program. For those customers remaining without power for 24 hours or more, JCP&L is offering free water and ice at the following locations as of December 23, 2022.
