DATE/TIME: December 24, 2022 /  12:05 p.m.

INCIDENT: Dog Bite

LOCATION: 6000 Block of Center Street, Joshua Tree

SUSPECT(S):

VICTIM(S): Bryan Waldberg, 37-years-old, Resident of La Jolla

SUMMARY: On Saturday, December 24, 2022, at about 12:05 p.m., a concerned citizen called 9-1-1 to report two large, vicious German Shepherd dogs aggressively running toward pedestrians. A separate caller called 9-1-1 and reported a male was attacked by one of the dogs.

Deputies responded to the location and made contact with the male victim. The victim suffered puncture bite marks on his leg. Deputies located the dogs several yards away and corralled them to prevent further pedestrians from being attacked.  Public Service Announcements were given to business owners and customers to stay inside.  Morongo Basin Animal Control responded and captured both dogs.  The owner of the dogs also responded and assisted with the dogs, however, both dogs were taken for quarantine precautions.
