Evening operations to restore water service for Bixhoma Lake area residents will include the following:
1. Personnel and equipment will finish mobilization this afternoon and work on the installing the auxiliary water connection to Bixhoma Lake Estates will commence during the overnight hours.
2. A portable pump will be deployed this evening for as long as conditions permit (temperature). Operation will continue throughout the day tomorrow.
We are continuing to reach out through our emergency management partners to locate an available potable water buffalo.
We are working to restore a measure of water service for tomorrow, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience.

With the changing temperature conditions over the weekend, we have been addressing line breaks and leaks. With the drop in pressure this morning at the Bixhoma Lake storage tank, leaving a number of customers without water. Based on system evaluation, we believe this loss of pressure is related to a line leak or break on the Bixhoma Road line.
As we work to pinpoint the problem area, we will be implementing the following measures:
- Acquisition of a potable water buffalo for local residents. (We will send out a notification when it becomes available.)
- Installation of an auxiliary connection to Bixhoma Lake Estates to provide service to the west side of that development.
- Utilization of a portable pump (during daylight hours when temperatures are above freezing) to provide a measure of water supply to the Bixhoma Tank while line repairs are underway for the balance of the Bixhoma Lake Estates residents.
Running these approaches in parallel, Public Works will be working around the clock to restore service as soon as possible.
