Update from the Clayton County Water Authority. SHERIFF Levon Allen

The Clayton County Water Authority issued a boil water advisory for Clayton County residents due to the Arctic blast.

Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) staff is coordinating several distribution sites for later this afternoon for bottled water distribution for customers without water service. Details will be shared as soon as everything is ready for customers.

The staff continues troubleshooting and finding leaks caused by the below freezing temperatures that have led to low pressure or no water service for customers in several parts of the county. Many are found in warehouses, businesses, schools and churches. Clayton County Public Schools’ Maintenance staff is checking out all schools.

If someone has a leak, they should report the leak immediately at 770.960.5200 or send us a private message.

When calling the customer service line, please wait for the automated response to finish before selecting a prompt. This should help with any issues with the phone system. Customers may also send us a private message with your service address. A member of our Social Media Care Team will notify you when your outage has been reported. For answers to direct questions, please comment below. We aim to provide updates as promptly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding CCWA.
