INCIDENT: Possession of a Loaded Firearm While Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.
LOCATION: Barton Road and Terrace Avenue, Grand Terrace
SUSPECT(S): Christopher Mautalen, 48-year-old Loma Linda Resident.
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On December 24, 2022, Deputy Yates conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Barton Road and Terrace Avenue, for vehicle code violations. The driver was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and a loaded polymer 80 handgun (ghost gun) was recovered from the vehicle.
The driver, Christopher Mautalen, was arrested for PC 29800(A)(1)- Felon/Addict in Possession of a Firearm and HS 11550(E)- Possession of a Loaded Firearm While Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.
Mautalen was transported to the Central Detention Center where he is being held on a $50,000 bond.
