Avoid the 15 Freeway, Hamner Avenue and Sixth Street in Norco until further notice. Various roads are closed due to a law enforcement pursuit related to the incident noted below.
Official Information from Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:
A Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy has been shot. Right now, RSO investigators are on the scene in the 3900 block of Golden West Avenue in Jurupa Valley. Just before 2 p.m., the deputy pulled over a vehicle and during the traffic stop he was shot. Please stay away from the area while deputies conduct their investigation. Sheriff Bianco will hold a news conference this afternoon that we will stream on Facebook.
