Shooting Investigation
Union City, CA – Sunday, January 01, 2023, at approximately 03:49 AM, Union City Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Whipple Road regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old female victim who sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
UCPD Detectives responded and took over this investigation.
This appears to be an isolated incident and there are no known additional threats to the public.
