On Sunday, January 1, 2023, at 12:34 p.m., a Central Marin Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on an eighteen-year-old Larkspur resident, who was known to the officer to have an outstanding arrest warrant.  The traffic stop occurred in the parking lot of 2500 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur.
 
When a second Central Marin Police Officer arrived on scene, the Officers attempted to take the driver into custody for his outstanding arrest warrant.  The driver resisted arrest and a short scuffle ensued, whereupon the driver was taken into custody without further incident.  A subsequent search of the driver’s waistband incident to arrest revealed a concealed loaded Glock handgun.  The handgun was not legally registered to the suspect.  The suspect was later booked into Marin County Jail for illegally possessing a firearm, illegally concealing a firearm, resisting arrest, and for the outstanding arrest warrant.
