*WHERE...La Garrita Mountains.
*WHEN...Monday evening.
*IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds have created dangerous avalanche conditions in the backcountry. Large and dangerous avalanches will be very easy to trigger.
*PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Travel in backcountry avalanche terrain requires careful decision making. Avoid travel on and under slopes steeper than about 30 degrees. You can find more detailed information at colorado.gov/avalanche
