LOCATION: 15000 block of Valley Boulevard, unincorporated Fontana
VICTIM: Adult Male
SUSPECT: Susan Martin, a 62-year-old female resident of unincorporated Fontana
SUMMARY: On Friday, December 30, 2022, at about 2:07 p.m., officers from the Fontana Police Department notified the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department of a carjacking which occurred in the 15000 block of Valley Boulevard, unincorporated Fontana. The suspect, later identified as 62-year-old Susan Martin, approached the victim and used a sharp object to threaten him and steal his vehicle.
A short time later, deputies received calls of a female, who matched the description, causing a disturbance in the area of Arrow Route and Ilex Street. While responding, they learned the vehicle involved was the same vehicle stolen during the above carjacking. At about the same time, officers from the Fontana Police Department located Martin driving the stolen vehicle. Martin did not yield and led them on a pursuit which ended in the 8200 block of Banana Avenue in the unincorporated area of Fontana. Martin refused to exit the vehicle but was eventually taken into custody. She was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for several felony charges.
