Dear Resident,
 
I want to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year and address an important issue.
We were advised today that our refuse collector will no longer be picking up cardboard with regular refuse.  While this will be addressed on a long-term basis, for the immediate future the following protocols will be enacted.
The Township will pickup your cardboard on the same day that they pick up your bulk refuse, and you still have the option to use our drop off facility.  Additionally, all cardboard must be flattened and bundled with a weight not to exceed 25 pounds, and no foam or fillers should be included.  Because of the enormity and additional duties thrust upon our DPW staff, non-compliance with the above-stated protocols will result in the Township not removing your cardboard at your curbside.
While all options are being explored, we will keep you advised when a long-term solution is reached.  Your cooperation is extremely important in order for this change in the refuse collection to be successful.
