Re: Motor Vehicle Crash
On Tuesday January 3, 2023 a motor vehicle collision occurred in the intersection of North Main Street and McDowell High Drive involving two vehicles. At the time of this press release, it is being reported that a 2014 Ford Truck, (occupied by two juveniles, age appropriate driver) was making a left hand turn from McDowell High Drive onto Main Street, when a 2006 Ford SUV (occupied by an adult male and two juveniles) was traveling South on Main Street. The Ford SUV struck the Ford Truck in the driver’s side area as it came through the intersection. Both vehicles came to rest near the scene of the collision.
McDowell County EMS transported a total of 5 (five) patients to Mission Hospital in Asheville. At this time the severity of the injuries of the patients transported is unknown.
Marion Fire Department, McDowell County Rescue Squad, McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, DMV License and Theft, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol assisted with this incident.
