INCIDENT: TRAFFIC COLLISION

On Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at about 1:22 PM, Pomona Police Dispatch received a call of a solo vehicle traffic collision in the area of Marigold Street south of Terryview Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a vehicle collided into a traffic sign. Officers located the driver in grave condition. L.A. County Fire Department arrived on scene and began to give treatment to the driver. The driver was transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital. While at the hospital the driver was pronounced deceased.
It appears the vehicle was traveling southbound on Marigold Street when the vehicle veered to the right and collided with a traffic sign. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs was a factor at this time.
