DETAILS:  While on a DWI enforcement campaign, Traffic Officer McQuade observed a gold colored Acura sedan speeding on Old Trenton Rd. He also observed that the driver of the Acura was having difficulty staying in its lane and driving over the marked lines in the roadway. Traffic Officer McQuade initiated a stop on the Acura and determined that the driver, Eluminada Delacruz-Torres, was DWI. Delacruz-Torres was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future dates with West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to a shoplifting in progress at Ulta Beauty. Ptl. LaForge was in the retail center at the time, but just prior to his arrival, the suspects had  fled in a red BMW coupe with a temporary paper registration. Hamilton police later located the vehicle on Kuser Road and stopped it. Investigation found that Jihad Cylear had entered Ulta Beauty and distracted an employee while his accomplices, Keion Daniels and Sharif Williams, started stuffing bags they brought with them full of fragrances. Cylear then met up with his associates and helped put more fragrances into their bags. They exited the store without paying for over $6,500.00 in designer fragrances. West Windsor Detective Sergeant J. Jones and Detective B. Jany assisted at the scene in Hamilton where the three suspects were being detained. After the suspects were positively identified as the shoplifters, they were transported to WWPD Headquarters where they were processed. Williams was also found to have warrants for his arrest from Roselle and Woodbridge. After processing, all three were committed to the Mercer County Corrections Center.

DETAILS: Patrol Units were detailed to Wegmans for a shoplifting. Ptl. Hoffman arrived to find Reginald McCoy outside of the market. He was in possession of $409.10 worth of stolen goods including bottles of liquor and razor blades. McCoy was a chronic shoplifter so he had been previously served notice of being banned from Wegmans. McCoy was also found to have warrants for his arrest from this jurisdiction, Hamilton, Ewing, and Mount Laurel. McCoy was processed at WWPD Headquarters and committed to the Mercer County Corrections Center.

DETAILS:  While Ptl. Connell was on patrol in Nassau Park, he observed a Best Buy employee running out of the store pointing toward a male that was pushing a shopping cart full of merchandise. The store employee told Ptl. Connell that the male had just shoplifted from the store. Ptl. Connell pulled up next to the suspect in his police car and activated his emergency lights. The suspect immediately pushed the cart away and started running through parked cars to get away. He was seen getting into a blue Lincoln sedan which started driving away, but Ptl. Connell was able to stop it. The driver, Kadeem Price, was found to have a warrant for his arrest from Trenton. The shoplifter provided a false name to Ptl. Connell, but was later determined to be Kollie Hill. He had shoplifted $1,814.90 worth of electronics including laptops and tablets by putting them into a cart and pushing the cart out of an emergency exit door. Hill was found to be in possession of what appeared to be crack cocaine and a clear glass pipe with drug residue. He was also in possession of a screwdriver which was believed to have been used to remove inventory control devices. Both Hill and Price were processed at WWPD Headquarters. Hill was released pending a future date with Mercer County Superior Court. Price was released pending a future date with Trenton Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to Wegmans for a shoplifting in progress. Ptl. Silcox was on patrol of the retail center and met up with store Asset Protection. After the two suspects exited the store pushing a shopping cart containing stolen food and bottles of liquor valued at $276.93, Ptl. Silcox and Wegmans Asset Protection approached them. Neil Small who was pushing the cart, turned around, and started walking back toward the store and the Asset Protection Associate. His accomplice, I-Tiyah Bush continued to walk towards the parking lot and ignored Ptl. Silcox’s repeated pleas to stop and cooperate. After patiently trying to reason with Bush to no avail, he advised her that she was under arrest, but she continued to walk away from him and then actively resisted his attempts to handcuff her. With the assistance of Ptl. C. Knox, he was finally able to get her in custody, only to learn that Small had abandoned the shopping cart and walked away from the Asset Protection Associate. Officers canvassed the area for Small and he was located by Ptl. D. Borup and arrested. Small and Bush were processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future dates with Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  While on patrol, Ptl. De Blasio observed a black VW SUV stopped in the roadway with some of the passenger doors still open. Two passengers were outside of the SUV, and one of them was vomiting in the field. Ptl. De Blasio approached the driver, Shyam Chinnari, who said that they had been at a party and he pulled over so his friend could vomit. Chinnari himself was found to be DWI, processed at WWPD Headquarters, and released pending future dates with West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Caulfield was detailed to Target for a shoplifter who was being detained by store Asset Protection. Investigation determined that Aziah Thompson, who was accompanied by a juvenile, loaded up two shopping carts full of merchandise that had a total value of $1,127.78. The shopping carts were then pushed out of the store without making any payment. Thompson was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date with Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to a single car crash on Alexander Rd. Officers arrived to find a heavily damaged gray Toyota sedan disabled in the road blocking two lanes. Investigation determined that Lauren Suess had driven her car off of the roadway where she struck a road sign and a tree before returning to the road. Suess was found to be DWI, processed at WWPD Headquarters, and released pending future dates at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to T.J. Maxx for shoplifting in progress. A shoplifter was reported to be filling two reusable shopping bags full of store merchandise. Ptl. Buchanan arrived on scene as Shimera Lee was exiting the store carrying $691.82 worth of stolen property. Lee was arrested and processed at WWPD Headquarters. She was also found to have a warrant for her arrest from Trenton. Lee was released pending future dates with Mercer County Superior Court and Trenton Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to T.J. Maxx on the report of a shoplifter actively concealing merchandise into two reusable bags. Just prior to patrol arriving, the shoplifter exited the store and got into a black Hyundai sedan. Ptl. Silcox spotted the vehicle leaving the parking lot and initiated a car stop. Sasha Howard was identified as the shoplifter, and $690.81 worth of clothing and other items were recovered and returned to the store. Howard was also found to have a warrant for her arrest from Lawrence. She was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released after posting bail on the warrant. Howard has future dates pending with Mercer County Superior Court and Lawrence Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to Target for two shoplifters who were being detained by store Asset Protection. Investigation found that Amore Williams concealed several items into a reusable shopping bag. After finishing her shopping, Williams went to the self-checkout where she scanned a barcode for an item valued at $1.99, to “purchase” a few items for far less than their actual retail value. She also failed to pay anything for some other items that were in her bags. Her companion, Dhakiya McCleese took a different approach to shoplifting. McCleese loaded a cart full of goods, went to customer service, and then asked if she could pay for a pack of batteries there. After paying for the batteries, she attempted to push the cart full of unpaid merchandise out of the store. Both Williams and McCleese were processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future dates at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol Units were detailed to T.J. Maxx for a shoplifting in progress. Prior to patrol arriving, the shoplifter had left the store with merchandise concealed in a stolen piece of luggage. He was being watched by store Asset Protection who saw him go into the HomeGoods store. Ptl. Fattibene was directed to the back of the store by Asset Protection and located Ramon Lugo still in possession of the shoplifted goods valued at $889.86. Lugo started to run away, but Ptl. Fattibene quickly caught up to him so he had a change of heart and decided to give himself up. While searching Lugo, he was found to be in possession of an illegal automatic switchblade knife, magnetic security device remover, and a utility knife. Investigation found that he had used the magnetic tool and utility knife to remove sensors from the property he shoplifted. Lugo was also found to be a fugitive from justice and “Wanted” by three different agencies in Pennsylvania. He also had warrants for his arrest in NJ from Cherry Hill and Deptford. Lugo was processed at WWPD Headquarters and committed to the Mercer County Corrections Center.
