WEST COVINA OFFERS REWARD IN GABRIELA DE HARO PEREZ MURDER CASE
DATE OF RELEASE: January 4, 2023
West Covina Police detectives continue to actively investigate the murder of 29 year-old Gabriela De Haro Perez. Gabriela was shot and killed near the intersection of Azusa Avenue and Amar Road on January 2, 2021 in what appears to be a case of senseless gang violence and misidentification. Gabriela was not involved in gangs or gang activity.
Detectives are keeping the details of the shooting and details regarding the suspect vehicle confidential. Detectives believe there are people that know who committed this horrific crime and would be able to provide these specific details to validate their reliability as a witness, which they believe could potentially solve the case.
In an effort to encourage people to come forward the West Covina City Council approved a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the identity, apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Gabriela. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors have also offered a reward of $15,000 and Gabriela’s family has offered a reward of $35,000.
