Town efforts to clear impacts and prepare for rain, reporting, sandbags, and staying safe in heavy rains.
The Town has deployed all available staff and contractors over the past few days to clear impacts from last week's storm from public roadways and prepare for today's extreme weather. To help residents prepare, here is a recap of activities, as well as some information to have at hand during the storm.
MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES: The Town's maintenance team and all available Town staff have been working throughout the Town to inspect drainage facilities and clear any debris or obstructions. Street sweepers were also out along Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Tassajara, and large potholes were filled in this area as well. In addition to clearing roadways, extensive efforts have been made in the Brookside neighborhoods to remove mud in heavily impacted areas. Town maintenance staff will continue these efforts throughout the day, and many members of the Town staff are performing storm patrols to look for hazards and obstructions.
