Earlier this afternoon the Governor Proclaimed a State Of Emergency throughout California to support the ongoing response to recent winter storms (for more information please visit https://www.gov.ca.gov/2023/01/04/governor-newsom-proclaims-state-of-emergency-and-mobilizes-state-government-ahead-of-winter-storms/).

Calaveras County and the City of Angels Camp are continuing to work closely to ensure their residents are prepared for the next round of winter storms.  As previously reported, the Calaveras County Office of Emergency Services proclaimed a Local Emergency on December 31, 2022.  The County and City want to remind citizens that the next round of storms may bring localized flooding, wind gusts, downed trees, and possible power outages.  Staff recommend ensuring that you have enough food, fuel, medications, and water to get you through. As always, if you are having an emergency, please call 911.

The Community Information call line is available from 9AM to 5PM and running through January 10, 2023. The number is 209-754-2855.  The call center will be available to answer questions, provide information on shelters, and additional resources.  The County has a snowplow information line at 209-754-6017 and the Public Works Roads number is 209-754-6401. The County’s GIS Community Information Center is fully operations and can provide citizens with address specific information.
