Crime Blotter for the Week of December 25 – December 31, 2022

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of December 25, 2022 – December 31, 2022.
 
December 25, 2022

December 27, 2022
  • Petty Theft :
1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart). On December 27, 2022, at 8:00 PM, suspect unknown, a male black adult approximately 30 years old, 5’02”, 125lbs., wearing a black jacket, gray pants, and black and white “Nike” shoes, was at the customer service desk attempting to return a prepaid phone card. The suspect became upset when employees told him they do not do returns. The suspect jumped over the counter, took an “HP” laptop, and ran outside without attempting to purchase the item. The loss is approximately $400. Surveillance video is available.

December 30, 2022
  • Burglary (Vehicle):
2200 block of Broach Avenue. Between December 29, 2022, 3:00 PM and December 30, 2022, 12:00 AM suspect(s) unknown entered the victim's “locked” vehicle, a 2014 Honda CRV, by unknown methods and stole her wallet from the center console and a bag of jewelry from the glove box. The loss was approximately $7,600. No surveillance video is available.   
 
December 31, 2022
  • Aggravated Assault:
1300 Block of Three Ranch Road. On December 31, 2022, at 6:30 PM, suspect unknown, a male black adult wearing a dark sweater and dark sweatpants pushing a shopping cart, approached the victims while they were on their porch. The victims asked if they could help the suspect when the suspect became angry and positioned himself in a fighting stance, and attempted to throw punches at the victims. The suspect landed a punch on one of the victims, so the other victim wrapped his arms around the suspect to prevent him from getting punched. The suspect broke free, produced a small knife, and swung it at the victims, stabbing one of the victims once in the arm. Both victims ran inside the house and the suspect left towards Buena Vista and out of view. No surveillance video is available.
