1. Burglary Arrest (1147) 5400 Block of Pacific Avenue, Lakeview District
Officers responded to an area business on a reported grand theft. The suspects were located and taken into custody without incident. The stolen property was recovered. Follow-up investigation recovered other stolen property and narcotics. ARRESTED: Hugo Mata-Romero, 34, and Joyanne Lewis, 20, for organized retail theft, burglary, grand theft, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, and narcotics.
 
2. Robbery (1703) 2400 Block of East Fremont Street, Park District
The male victim, 64, was working at an area business when two suspects entered and asked for merchandise. One of the suspects pointed a weapon at the victim and demanded property. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle. SUSPECT: Unknown race males.
 
3. Arson (1809) 00 Block of East Acacia Street, Civic District
The male victim, 45, was working at an area business when the suspects entered. The suspects threw two Molotov Cocktails on the floor causing a small fire. The suspects fled in a vehicle with no plates. SUSPECTS: Hispanic female adult, and Hispanic male adult.
 
4. Robbery (1904) 500 Block of North Pilgrim Street, Park District
The female victim, 53, arrived home and was confronted by 7-8 suspects, all armed with weapons. Several of the suspects hit her and stole her property before fleeing on foot. Arriving officers located the suspects, who all fled on foot, two suspects were located and taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. Both suspects were in possession of stolen weapons, and some of the victim’s property was recovered. ARRESTED: Tommy Hillery, 23 and Gamoni Polk, 22, for robbery, and weapons charges. Suspects 3-8 are unknown race males.
 
5. Arson (2140) 00 Block of East Acacia Street, Civic District
The male victim, 45, was told by residents in the area they heard and felt several explosions. The victim then reviewed live surveillance footage and saw that the building to his business was on fire. Nearby residences sustained damage as a result. Fire responded and rendered the properties safe.  No injuries were reported. No suspect information.
 
6. Shooting into a business (2230) 100 Block of East March Lane, Lakeview District
Officers responded to an area business on reports of gunfire in the area. Officers located damage from gunshots, though no injuries were reported. No suspect information. 
 
7. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (0218) 500 Block of East Oak Street, Civic District
The male victim, 32, was in the area when he got into an argument with the suspect. The suspect assaulted the victim with a knife, and fled the area. The victim had minor injuries and declined medical attention. SUSPECT: Black female adult.
