JPD Thanks Officer Erin Briggs for Over 24 Years of Service

On Tuesday, January 3, 2023, Officer Erin Briggs will retire from the Janesville Police Department (JPD) after over 24 years of service to the City of Janesville.  

Officer Briggs joined the JPD as a Patrol Officer in January 1998. Throughout his time with the department, he held many positions and assignments, including working as a Patrol Officer on first, second, and third shifts, Field Training Officer, Bicycle Officer, Crisis Negotiator, Domestic Violence Intervention (DVI) Team, Verbal Defense and Influence (VDI) instructor, Integrating Communications, Assessment, and Tactics (ICAT) instructor, and was a member of the Squad Car Design Committee and Commendation Committee.

Officer Erin Briggs received a Chief’s Commendation in 2018.

The Police Department would like to thank Officer Erin Briggs for over 24 years of dedicated service to his community, the Janesville Police Department, and the City of Janesville.
