TULSA MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO 2020 MURDER OF CATOOSA MAN
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. (January 5, 2023) – Today, the suspect in the 2020 murder of a Catoosa man plead guilty to multiple charges in Rogers County District Court. Bradley Bales (11/17/1986) plead to Murder in the Second Degree and Desecration of a Human Corpse in connection with the murder of Bart Kutt. As a result of his plea, Bales was sentenced to 40 years in the Oklahoma Department of Correction.
Kutt was found dead on June 8, 2020. Catoosa police officers were conducting a welfare check in the 18000 block of East Archer. The homeowner, Kutt, had not been seen or heard from for several days. When conducting the welfare check, officers noticed a foul smell coming from the garage. They then saw a body lying on the floor deceased. Kutt was burned beyond recognition but was able to be identified by dental records.
Bales was arrested by OSBI Special Agents on July 15, 2020. A second suspect, Madison Broyles (3/24/2002) was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force at the Airport Inn and Suites in Tulsa on August 2, 2020. Broyles is charged with Murder in the First Degree, Larceny of an Automobile and Desecration of a Human Corpse.
A third suspect was arrested on June 18, 2020. Kayla Harche (1/31/1997) was arrested by OSBI Agents in Tulsa. She is charged with Accessory to a Felony. Both Broyles and Harche are scheduled to be arraigned later this month.
