Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! 
"It is an honor to stand with the men and women of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office who put their lives on the line daily", states Sheriff Ricky T. Buchanan. The Sheriff's Office also wish to publicly acknowledge all of the Law Enforcement heroes in our community and we thank them all for their continued daily sacrifice.
"We are thankful and appreciative of the love and support we're shown from our community, not only today, but every day", added Sheriff Buchanan.
