Please be advised that the monthly Board of Trustees meeting will be held (in-person at the Village Hall) on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on Monday, January 16. Among other business, the Board meeting will have a public comment period and possible decision regarding the Edgehill Drive speed humps.
 
Before the Board meeting, the Annual Village Caucus will be held. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 beginning at 6:00 pm, in-person at the Village Hall.
 
The two-year terms of Village President Dave Benforado and Trustees Cokie Albrecht, Shabnam Lotfi and Mark Lederer will end in April 2023. President Benforado has indicated he will not be seeking reelection this year. Those selected at the Caucus will be included on the ballot at the Spring Election to be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
 
If more than two candidates for Village President or more than six candidates for Village Trustee are nominated at the Caucus, a “mini-election” will occur immediately that evening with the residents in attendance casting votes to determine who will be selected to run for election in April.
 
Please plan to attend the Caucus on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 (and stay for the Board meeting). The Caucus is a wonderful example of local democracy in action.
