Wilmington Police have arrested a man following an assault investigation.

On October 16 at approximately 4:37 p.m., police responded to the 1200 block of West 2^nd Street for an assault complaint.  Police located a 53-year-old male assault victim who was transported to the hospital in critical condition.  The case was assigned to Detective Brendan Shea of the Criminal Investigations Division.  Through the course of his investigation, Detective Shea identified 20-year-old Ta’seer Tillman and 23-year-old Jakai Randall as suspects.  Warrants were drafted for both suspects who were taken into custody without incident.

Tillman was charged with the following offenses:

• Assault – 1^st Degree
• Conspiracy – 2^nd Degree

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released after posting $2,500 secured bail.

Randall was charge with the following offenses:

• Assault – 1^st Degree
• Conspiracy – 2^nd Degree

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 211 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $8,500 secured bail.
