On January 6th at 15:43 the Mays Landing, Richland, Laureldale, and Weymouth fire departments were dispatched to 6926 Melvin Newton Blvd for a structure fire. Car 18-11 arrived on location and reported a vacant structure fully engulfed in fire. Richland tanker 12-19 arrived on scene at 15:56 and began firefighting activities. The fire was placed under control at 16:34. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Township of Hamilton Police department and Bureau of Fire Prevention. Assisting at the scene were East Vineland Fire department, Township of Hamilton Rescue, NJ Division of Fire and Safety. Cover ups were provided by Egg Harbor City Fire Department, and Bargaintown Fire Department.
