UPDATE:
At this hour (10:00AM) the southbound lanes of Main Street are shut down while the restoration work is done. Power is slowly coming back in the area. PG&E estimates complete restoration to occur by 8:00PM. It is confirmed the driver involved in the crash sustained minor injuries.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
The Oakley Police Department advises you to AVOID Main Street at Delta Road due to a current traffic issue. A vehicle crash, involving injuries, at that intersection has closed closed down the intersection and a power pole is down with possibly live wires in the roadway.
Power has also been lost to several homes/businesses in the area. At this initial hour there is no ETA for power restoration or power pole replacement. PG&E is on the way to take care of the power issues. The crash itself has occurred in County jurisdiction so the California Highway Patrol is responding to investigate the crash.
