Flash Flood Warning until 10:45PM Saturday

The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... North Central Colorado County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 1045 PM CST.

* At 852 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Columbus. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... Zimmerscheidt Road at Redgate Creek Tributary, Zimmerscheidt Road at Cummins Creek Tributary and Zimmerscheidt Road at Zimmer Creek.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COLORADO, TX

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
