National Weather Service warns of heavy rains (flood watch) through January 10 and high winds this evening. Risk of trees falling. 
Danville Police would like to pass on a weather warning from the National Weather Servics (NWS). NWS warns of heavy rains and high winds that could cause flooding, downed trees and loss of power.
Please remember the following:
Avoid roadways during heavy rains
Dont drive in flooded roads
Do not come within 30 feet of downed power lines.
Do not drive over downed power lines.
When traffic signal lights are out, treat intersections as a four-way stop.
Report life-threatening emergencies to 911.
And remember, six inches of fast moving water can sweep a person off their feet and a foot of fast moving water can sweep away a vehicle.
